Overview

Students can be segmented into Groups to help with organizing students by cohort. Group progress reporting is available to help monitor student success per Group. The Group Analyst role was designed to give access to Group progress reporting to specific team members or 3rd parties you are working with!

The Group Analyst role can be assigned to a user in your Thinkific account by a Site Admin or Site Owner and they have the following permissions:

  1. View and export student progress for assigned groups

  2. View student names and emails for assigned groups

Group Analyst Dashboard

When a user is assigned a Group Analyst role, they will be able to login to your Thinkific site to view Group progress reports specific to Groups that you specify. Their Thinkific Dashboard will have limited access based on the permissions listed above and will look like this:

Here they can view student names, emails, and progress in courses for Groups you have assigned. Explore the dashboard from the Group Analyst perspective HERE.

Group Progress Reports

Your Group Analysts will be able to view progress data directly within Thinkific and have the option to export Group progress reports in a CSV format with the following details:

  • Student First Name
  • Student Last Name
  • Student Email
  • Company - optional field that a Site Admin can input in a student profile. We recommend using custom fields instead.
  • Group Name
  • Course Name
  • Activated At Date - Date student enrolled in the course.
  • % Viewed - Lessons that student has navigated to within the course (not included in the CSV export).
  • % Completed - Lessons where student has clicked Complete & continue in the Course Player to mark the lesson complete.
  • Completed Date - Date student reached 100% completion.
  • Expiry Date - Date student loses access to the course (only included in CSV export).

Can Group Analysts manage student enrollments for Groups they are assigned to?

No, only a Site Owner or Site Admin has these permissions. If you would like to provide your Group Analyst with the option to provide students access to a course, we recommend using our Groups feature and creating a Group share link with a coupon applied. More on that HERE.
