As a Group Analyst, you will a have user account on the course creator's Thinkific website that gives you access to student names, emails and progress for Groups you are assigned to!


Group Analysts are available on our Pro and Growth plan and higher. 3 Group Analysts are available on Growth and 15 on Premier. If you have any questions, please contact us!

 

How to Access Your Account

Once you have been assigned a Group Analyst by a Site Admin or Site Owner, you will be able to login to their Thinkific site to view your content. We recommend contacting the Site Owner if you are not sure what the site URL is. 


The sign in page URL will be in the following format: sitename.thinkific.com/users/sign_in OR if they have a custom domain, it will be formatted as: www.sitename.com/users/sign_in


Viewing Your Dashboard

Once you are logged in, you will see a menu on the left sidebar to access Group progress and student details. You have the following permissions:

  1. View and export student progress for assigned groups

  2. View student names and emails for assigned groups


How to View Progress and Student Details

  1. Under Support Your Students, click Progress
  2. On the Groups page, locate your desired Group
  3. Select Progress Reports

Here you can view student names, emails, and progress in courses for the selected Group:



Only students with enrollments are included in this report. Users assigned to a Group, but not enrolled in a course will not be visible in Group reports.

 

How to Export Progress Reports

  1. Under Support Your Students, click Progress
  2. On the Groups page, locate your desired Group
  3. Select the 3 dot menu to the right of Progress Reports
  4. Select Export CSV
  5. You will receive an email from notifications@notify.thinkific.com with a link to download your CSV!



Progress Reports can also be exported from the detail page:

  1. Under Support Your Students, click Progress
  2. On the Groups page, locate your desired Group
  3. Select Progress Reports
  4. Select Export CSV on the right
  5. You will receive an email from notifications@notify.thinkific.com with a link to download your CSV!



Viewing Group Progress Exports

Your Group progress CSV will contain the following data:

  • Student First Name
  • Student Last Name
  • Student Email
  • Company - optional field that a Site Admin can input in a student profile. We recommend using custom fields instead.
  • Group Name
  • Course Name
  • Activated At Date - Date student enrolled in the course.
  • % Viewed - Lessons that student has navigated to within the course (not included in the CSV export).
  • % Completed - Lessons where student has clicked Complete & continue in the Course Player to mark the lesson complete.
  • Completed Date - Date student reached 100% completion.
  • Expiry Date - Date student loses access to the course (only included in CSV export).


Frequently Asked Questions

Can I manage student enrollments for Groups I am assigned to?

No, only a Site Owner or Site Admin has these permissions. Please contact the Site Owner for managing access to courses.


Can I be assigned as a Group Analyst as well as a Course Admin?

Yes! If you are also assigned as a Course Admin, you will see additional fields available in your Dashboard:



If I'm enrolled in a course, how do I access it?

You can access courses you are enrolled in by clicking Preview website on the left sidebar and navigate to your desired course:



I didn't receive my CSV export, what should I do?

The email notification will come from notifications@notify.thinkific.com. Make sure to check your spam folder! We also recommend whitelisting our email address.
